Summer Program

What Is The CCS Summer Residency?

CCS students enrolled in the MSt degree program must complete five summer residency courses. These courses involve a week-long intensive residency on the NSA campus in Moscow, Idaho. Many students enroll in two courses in a given summer term, which allows them to complete the residency requirement in as few as three summers. The residency week involves close interaction between students and faculty in seminars that run daily from morning to evening. The week of summer residency also includes gatherings for collegial fellowship.

Explore Moscow

Moscow has numerous activities to offer visitors. It boasts a vast range of dining options despite its small size. From award-winning eateries to cozy local favorites and ethnic cuisine, you'll find plenty of choices for any meal, and it offers a variety of options for quenching your thirst. Moscow is a renowned "foodie" town, thanks to its community of innovative chefs and restaurateurs.

If you're looking to explore the landscape, we recommend walking or biking the Latah Trail or take an easy hike to explore Idler's Rest, located just outside of town. Planning to stay for the weekend? We recommend visiting our Farmer's Market on Saturday(May-Oct) and catching a sermon at a local church on Sunday.
