Visit from a Distance

We highly encourage in-person visits, but we understand that they may not be feasible for everyone. In such cases, we strongly recommend a half-day virtual visit as a great alternative. During this virtual visit, you can use Zoom to attend classes, meet students, and ask any questions that you may have—all from the comfort of your own home. The next virtual visit will take place in the Spring of 2025.

Founding Ideas

Founder Doug Wilson explains the fundamental principles guiding New Saint Andrews College, which is renowned for its unwavering commitment to these foundational tenets.

What Drives Us

Faith

Faith in Christ and his gospel are the foundation of New Saint Andrews College. All classes, events, and functions happen with Colossians 1:16-17 in mind: “For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him. And He is before all things, and in Him all things consist.”

Theology

At New Saint Andrews, we recognize theology as the lodestar of all education—it orients every subject and class. Following the reformed tradition, we study theology’s two-fold foundation: the doctrines of God and Scripture. You can learn more about the college’s theological education here.

Education

It’s clear that our culture needs more than intelligence—it also needs biblical wisdom. Guided by the light of Scripture, students converse with their professors and classmates through the classical western tradition to gain deep wisdom that can navigate all the challenges of life. They also gain an expansive and flexible set of mental skills enabling them to adapt and self-teach through professional careers.

Community

To shape culture, you need a culture to replace it with. As students engage the surrounding culture and the most challenging ideas in the western tradition, they commune with a body of saints within the college and Moscow—a culture known for its celebratory and staunch faith. All students confess the Apostolic Creed, attend local evangelical churches, and grow amongst a body of Christians who bow to Christ’s lordship and rejoice in his gospel.

The Envision Scholarship
