Dr. Tutino To Perform With Washington Idaho Symphony

This Saturday, February 25, 2023, Dr. Cole Tutino is set to perform a concerto with the Washington Idaho Symphony at 7:30 pm.

Dr. Cole Tutino is Fellow of Music at New Saint Andrews College, where he teaches cello, music theory, and orchestra. He was previously Visiting Assistant Professor of Cello at Miami University in Oxford, OH, and Visiting Instructor of Cello at Luther College in Decorah, IA.

Dr. Tutino has performed extensively as a soloist, chamber musician, orchestral player, and recording artist. Currently the principal cellist of the Washington Idaho Symphony, he has been principal of the Richmond Symphony Orchestra (IN) and a member of the Columbus Indiana Philharmonic and the Terre Haute Symphony Orchestra. As a chamber musician, he has been a member of the Oxford String Quartet and the Luther College Piano Quartet. His solo appearances include performances with the Richmond Symphony Orchestra, the Cedarville University Orchestra, the Miami University Symphony Orchestra, and the Luther College Philharmonia.

Born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, Dr. Tutino earned his Bachelor’s in Cello Performance at San Jose State University under the tutelage of Jennifer Kloetzel and the Cypress String Quartet. He studied with János Starker and Emilio Colón at the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music, where he earned his Master’s and his Doctorate in Cello Performance.

The concerto will take place at the University of Idaho Admin Auditorium
