Northwest ACCS Choir Festival

Last Friday, the choir of New Saint Andrews College traveled to Spokane, Washington to participate in the Northwest Choir Festival, a one day music festival for area high school choirs.

Despite the crispy November temperatures, students and staff from Oregon, Washington, Idaho, and even Alaska gathered at The Oaks School. There were a total of ten different ACCS high schools represented at the festival with about 440 students singing all together.

The joyful noise didn't stop as Dr. David Erb, Director of the NSA Music Conservatory, energetically led the choirs through multiple rehearsals throughout the day. The choirs began in the morning and quickly transformed their work into a most triumphant and glorious "Holy, Holy, Holy" as they sang skillfully for hundreds of audience members at the evening’s performance.

Between practices, the choirs danced together and shared meals. They also got to share their work with Northwest ACCS Administrators.

Choir directors had the opportunity to connect with one another in a 'Meet and Greet' led by Aaron Snell of Logos and Amy Kim of The Oaks.

NSA students continued the vigorous singing inside the bus on the drive home.

The choir of NSA considers it a blessing to sing with like-minded students and families from all over the Northwest and be reminded of the power of God's grace in our worship and music.

What a blessing to collaborate with so many schools in creating beautiful music. What a blessing to have the opportunity to lead by example and encourage schools with young and small music programs. What a blessing to experience for one day the ground shaking praises that we will all be singing for eternity, "Holy, Holy, Holy."

The National Honor Choir Is Back

After a three-year hiatus, the National Honor Choir is back and will be held during the 2023 ACCS Repairing the Ruins Conference, June 19-23 in Pittsburgh, PA. Students from ACCS schools around the country will join world-class music faculty to prepare and perform a glorious concert at the ACCS Conference in front of a national audience.

Current high school students (ages 14-19) attending ACCS member schools or ACCS member home schools may audition.

The audition deadline is February 1, 2023
