President Merkle Expresses Condolences to Students and Families of U of I

I wish to express my heartfelt condolences to the students and families affected by the tragedy that happened Sunday involving four University of Idaho students. We are saddened to hear about this tragic event in our community.

This tragedy highlights the ways our small community is connected. We at New Saint Andrews College mourn with the U of I community and President Scott Green. We offer our condolences to the families and friends grieving the loss of these loved ones.  

In the face of a tragedy like this, we recognize that our hope and consolation rest in Jesus Christ our savior. This does not make this tragedy any less shocking or painful. Rather this highlights how sad this tragedy really is. We live in a broken world, and our community has been rocked. 

We know that words alone cannot ease the pain at this time, so we offer our prayers for the families and friends affected by this tragedy. May you find true and genuine consolation in Jesus our savior.
