Carter Ehnis

Carter Ehnis is Lecturer of Languages at New Saint Andrews College, where he teaches Latin and Greek. He received his B.A. in Liberal Arts and Culture (2022) and M.A. in Theology and Letters (2023) from NSA and is now completing an M.A. in Descriptive Linguistics from the Graduate Institute of Applied Linguistics. For the past three years, Carter has also served as Fellow of Latin and Ancient Greek at the Ancient Language Institute.

Carter is interested in all areas of linguistics. His research, however, mainly focuses on formal linguistic theory for both phonology and syntax. He has written on Latin phonology using Optimality Theory as well as the syntactic structures and morphology of Philippine-type languages.
