Join us on February 14 at the Nuart Theatre to hear Raymond Ibrahim speak.

Raymond Ibrahim is a leading expert on the Middle East and Islam, serving as the Distinguished Senior Shillman Fellow at the Gatestone Institute and the Judith Friedman Rosen Fellow at the Middle East Forum. His books include Defenders of the West (2022), Sword and Scimitar (2018), and Crucified Again (2013), among others.

Ibrahim's writings have appeared in major publications such as the New York Times, Washington Post, Jerusalem Post, and USA Today. He has also contributed to scholarly journals and appeared on numerous media outlets, including Fox News, NPR, and Al-Jazeera. He frequently lectures at universities, government agencies, and international forums, and has testified before Congress on issues related to Islam and Christian minorities in the Islamic world.

Born to Egyptian parents in the U.S., Ibrahim’s dual cultural background gives him unique insights into both Western and Middle Eastern perspectives. He holds B.A. and M.A. degrees in History, with a focus on the ancient and medieval Near East, and has also worked as an Arabic language and regional specialist at the Library of Congress. His expertise includes counterterrorism, Middle Eastern affairs, and the persecution of Christians in the Islamic world, which he documents in his monthly Muslim Persecution of Christians report.
